Director, Lifecycle / CRM Marketing
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Director, Lifecycle/CRM Marketing to join our team. This critical role will be responsible for defining and executing our engagement and retention strategy across the entire customer lifecycle. You'll leverage data, creativity, and technology to build meaningful relationships with our users, driving increased engagement, retention, and marketplace revenue.
What you'll do...
- Strategy & Results: Develop and own the comprehensive CRM and lifecycle marketing strategy. Oversee all CRM streams, including lifestyle, transactional, partner-driven, and offer-based messaging, ensuring consistency, compliance, and performance across user touchpoints while achieving revenue and growth targets.
- Customer Journey Mapping: Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end customer journeys across various touchpoints (email, in-app messaging, push notifications, SMS, etc.) to drive key behaviors and maximize customer lifetime value.
- Engagement & Retention: Lead initiatives to increase customer engagement, product adoption, and reduce churn through personalized and timely communications.
- Technology Expertise and Automation: Lead the technical architecture and optimization of campaigns within the Braze platform, leveraging its full capabilities for segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and campaign automation.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and nurture a team of high-performing CRM/lifecycle marketing managers.
- Performance & Analytics: Establish clear KPIs and metrics, regularly analyze campaign performance, conduct A/B testing, and derive actionable insights to continuously improve results. Own reporting and forecasting for CRM initiatives.
- AI-Powered Personalization: Spearhead the development and evolution of our predictive AI models to personalize CRM journeys. Collaborate closely with data science and product teams to identify data needs, refine algorithms, and scale intelligent personalization across all customer touchpoints, optimizing business performance.
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Communication: Build strong, collaborative relationships with Product, Business Development, Finance, and Data Science teams. Proactively identify business problems and co-create innovative, data-driven solutions that align CRM efforts with company-wide strategic goals. Ensure transparency, shared understanding, and accountability across all CRM initiatives.
- Experimentation & Optimization: Foster a culture of continuous testing and learning, utilizing A/B testing and other methodologies to improve campaign performance.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Collaborate with external partners and vendors to plan, execute, and report on co-branded and/or partner-driven campaigns while ensuring alignment with internal growth goals and compliance standards.

- You have 10+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, or similar roles, with a track record of building or transforming CRM programs, influencing executive stakeholders, and aligning CRM with company-wide business goals.
- You bring a demonstrable track record of increasing customer engagement, retention, and revenue through strategic CRM initiatives.
- You have deep technical expertise and hands-on experience with Braze including familiarity with Braze's advanced features, API integrations, and data management capabilities.
- You bring solid experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team, including setting performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive team culture.
- You possess a strong understanding of customer journey mapping principles and experience designing and optimizing complex multi-channel campaigns.
- You have exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- You demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. You thrive on collaboration, proactively sharing information, and working transparently with diverse stakeholders (Product, BD, Finance, Data Science).
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- You have a strong focus on B2C business in the fintech or financial services industry. Additional experience with B2B businesses is a plus.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

At Credit Sesame, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate’s location, qualifications, skills, and experience. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Credit Sesame’s bonus and equity plans. The estimated salary pay range for this role is $200,000 - $240,000.
